SO far the highest I have gone is 20J, and I am afraid of going any higher...

settings are different for each laser. no way to know without knowing exact type you use, brand and manufacturer.

average settings are probably 14-25 joules, but can go up as high as 40 or 50 with a smaller spot size, but that's only for very white skin and very painful.
