Is Laser HR for me?

Question
I am 18, I have white skin, I tan easily, never get burned, have black, thick hair, everywhere but my head, lol. I want to know how many treatments I might need to fully get rid of my hair on lower legs and underarms, and what is the average cost. Are results permenant? Or will the hair come back? Thank you.

Answer
From what you have written you appear to be a good candidate for LHR. Black coarse hair is the best because the laser picks up colour. If you have a natural tan you would need to see a Dr. for a consultation to find out if LHR would cause pigmentation. If your skin clour is dark due to tanning you need to stay out of the sun and make sure you are as pale as possible before you begin treat, ents. Pale skin and dark coarse hair get the best results. LHR does not promise permanent removal but it does promise a reduction. I had a consultation today and the technician told me after all the treatments I would still have to come back once a year or so for a touch up but it varies from person to person. When hair is the bane of your existance I feel this is a small price to pay. Pricing ranges. You would need a consultation to discuss this with your choice of clinic. I am from australia and the tech i Spoke with said for $450 per treatment I could have Brazillian, underarms and upper thighs. You will be looking at around 5-8 treatments. Again results vary. My advice is to do as much research as possible and find a place you like and have a consultation with the tech. Take in all the questions you wish to have answered and perhaps even get a test patch done to see how your skin reacts. For your hair type try to find a place that uses a diode or alexandrite as these lasers on average appear to give the best results. I was told today by the tech that if treated with IPL the hair grew back exactly the same. But again it all comes down to the individual. Just be well informed before you go ahead as it is expensive and you want to do it right the first time Good luck

Answer
underarms are about $100-150 per treatment and you will need 5-8 treatments.
