Question
Hello all.
I am from Toronto Canada and have recently schedueled an appointment for LHR. I am treating my back. I have quite pale skin and medium brown hair. The area on my back and neck isn't too thick. The centre I am using has the Vasculight and Light Sheer lasers.
I came to read this forum to see how some people worked out with their treatments. Like any product I see some dissatisfaction. I am somewhat freightened though by the lack of testimonials from men. This is running me $540 per treatment and it's alot of money.
Has any guy out here tried LHR on their back? How did it work out for you? I understand the diode Light Sheer is probably better for light skinned people like me.
Anyone have any tips for me on what I should tell the tech when he/she is doing it? The incompetent tech issue seems to be a hot one here. What should I be asking the tech who will administer the treatment to me to see if they're good or bad? It might be the doctor who I had the consultation with who administers it, I don't know. She said that with my skin type she can turn the level on more.
Is this true? Lighter skin equals stronger treatment?
Thanks.
P.S, anyone from Toronto who can tell me about the clinic that I am going to would be AMAZING. I would IM them the url of course.

Answer
check out the hairtell forum. there are some success stories from men on there. Yes, the lighter the skin, the higher the settings that can be used since laser targets the dark pigment. This means that most of the energy will go into killing the dark hair follicle instead of to your skin.
also, -Company Name Deleted- website along with hairtell forum has a printout of questions you can take to your appt and explains what to look for.
Answer
sorry, the website name gets deleted, but its the one associated with the hairtell forum, so you can link to it from there.
Answer
Thank you thank you.
I will do as advised.

Find someone with a candela gentleLASE, sounds like you have the perfect skin type for it and will be happy with the results. I have a few male clients (mostly dragged in by their wives and it's mostly a testosterone thing that there are not alot of men recieving treatments) The facial, neck and backs I've treated with the gentleLASE see results after just the first treatment.
