"LEKAT" Need some info on what peel to do!?

Question
Hi Lekat
I have curremtly been using ENVIRON as i was informed that http://www.makeupartistschoice.com/whichpeel.htm
Also would using environ (C-Boost - with Vit C/ Debut - with Vit A) help to maintain the skin after the peel?
And would I have to stop using the environ before the peel? if so how long?
Im real soz for being a torture but really confused, and really want to try it to help make my skin look fresh and youthful again.
Many Thanx Lynn x

Answer
Hello Lynn-
Sun protection is a key to good http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/wrinkle-creams/SN00010
From what is on the Environ website, I don't think any of the products are that irritating- so I don't you will have to stop using them at all before or after a light peel. 40% lactic would be a good place to start!
Let us know how you do!

Answer
Hi again
Daily i use the following:
1) Wash - environ cleasing gel
2) apply - C boost (Highest of Vit C)
3) apply - Debut (lowest of Vit A) as only started last 2 weeks
Leave products on for hr or so
4) apply - factor 30 with uva/uvb
The vit A http://www.sunprecautions.com

Answer
Hi Lekat
Many thanx for all ur information, you have given me great advice.
I am continueing with the environ, was abit anxious as havent seen any results, although im only on it 3 wks and im still on the lowest cream with vit A.
I am ording the lactic acid peel at 40% and will incorporate this with the environ. Hopefully it will give good results if done together.
Also i have lost quite abit of fat on my face recently giving me a hollow look from my eyes running down the cheek area and then from the side of the /mmh/product/rhinoplasty/index.vm?procid=10" target=_blank>nose to the mouth. When i pull the /mmh/product/beauty/index.vm?procid=13" target=_blank>skin up slightly it goes away and once i let go it drops showing the two shadows. I feel that my skin is sagging alittle.
why would this be as im only 30 yrs?
What would be a good treatment for this as it looks as though my face is tired and haggard now?
Many thanx Lynn

Answer
hi again
After reading a few messages from the notice board i have read that lactic acid is only really a prep b4 something stronger like TCA is this right.
Will i not get good results from the lactic as would like to get rid of slight wrinkles at side of /mmh/product/eyelidsurgery/index.vm?procid=6" target=_blank>eyes, creapieness on face, age spots, freckles, uneven tone to /mmh/product/beauty/index.vm?procid=13" target=_blank>skin?
Also will the environ be enough to prep the skin or will i need something stronger?
Will i have to do tca after lactic peels?#
Thanx Lynn

Answer
Hello Sasha-
The rule of thumb is to use the 'least' and the 'mildest' to address skin issues at first- that may be all you need. You can always move up, and if you do want to eventually go to a stronger /mmh/product/chemicalpeel/index.vm?procid=4" target=_blank>peel, your skin will be nicely prepped.
The environ should be enough to prep for the 'lighter', non tca peels.
If you have the lactic, I suggest trying that- one a week- see where you are in say 4 to 6 weeks- you can always move up, but from what you describe it sounds like you don't have any severe issues.

Answer
Hello. I just wanted to add my 2 cents in here. I don't want you to get discouraged when you do a peel and you don't end up with the perfect /mmh/product/beauty/index.vm?procid=13" target=_blank>skin you wre envisioning. Like it's been said, getting great skin is a lot like diet/exercise. For example, let's say tomorrow you are starting a diet/exercise regimine. We know that eating good and exercising for one day isn't going to automatically make you skinny and fit. Just like doing a peel once isn't going to give you perfect skin. Follwong a diet/exercise regimine for a long period of time is what is going to produce results. This goes for our faces as well. If you use the proper ingredients daily (retin-a/ tretinoin/ etc...), use /mmh/product/beauty/sunscreen/index.vm?procid=13&catid=304" target=_blank>sunscreen religiously, and do a series of peels eventually you will notice your skin changing. But please don't think it is going to happen overnight or by getting 1 peel. I thought the same way and was disappointed when I did a peel and basically looked the same. I drove myself crazy trying to figure out what the "PERFECT" peel would be so when i did it I'd have perfect skin within the time it took for the peeling process to finish. So, my opinion is that you could do several different peels (try lactic the first few times, do some glycolic, and then maybe finish with a /mmh/product/chemicalpeel/home_peels/tca/index.vm?procid=4&catid=1045&subcatid=1047" target=_blank>tca) and then take a break. See wher you are at and take it from there. Good luck!!
