10 Weeks Today

Question
I can't believe that it has been 10 weeks since my surgery. There were many ups and downs, but I trusted my doctor, and I am content with the outcome. I know he's taken at least 10 years off my face, and my husband keeps telling me that.
I still have tenderness and some swelling in front of my ears, but I know that'll come down eventually. I have a natural sort of square face which makes my cheeks chubby.
I had my hair cut chin length and streaks put in (I am a brunette), and hubby loves it.
I can go out now with minimal make up, /mmh/product/beauty/index.vm?procid=13" target=_blank>moisturizer, a little ma/mmh/product/scar_reduction/index.vm?procid=42" target=_blank>scara and /mmh/product/eyelidsurgery/index.vm?procid=6" target=_blank>eyebrow pencil, and I slightly line my lower lids. It is a very healthy look which is perfect for Southern /directory/search.php" target=_blank>Florida (Tampa Bay). Sun Block is essential here.
I can't for my brother's visit next week and his reaction. He has not seen me since last year and does not know a thing about the surgery. He and I are very close, and I will share the pictures with him later.
My post op with the surgeon is next Monday, and I am anxious about his reaction. I have a little fatty tissue on my upper right lid and want him to fix it, hope that works out o.k.
Hang in there, all of you. It is quite a journey, but in the end it is all worth it.

Answer
Hi Schlippi
You sound like a new woman - new hair do and new face
Yay! for you!!! Oh, do report what your bro says. My darling is the only one so far to have seen me. My friend is planning on coming around to visit tomorrow to see me - she's so curious and I'll be happy to show off the new me.
That's great that you can get away with minimal makeup. Go for it. The natural look IS the best look.

Answer
So glad to hear positive feedback!! Yes this certainly is a long process. Patience is really needed when going through these procedures. But to look 10 years younger makes all the agony worth it! Many say it takes several months to see the final results. So things can only get better.
