I am almost 4weeks out and have started putting Mederma on the /mmh/product/scar_reduction/index.vm?procid=42" target=_blank>scars by my ears. I put sunblock first every day however my scars appear to be darkening, /mmh/product/chemicalpeel/index.vm?procid=4" target=_blank>peeling and itching. Is this part of the healing process?
Has anyone had good results with the Mederma or something else?
What is the "normal" healing process- what should I look for to ensure I am using the correct product?

PS I am also still swollen but I have heard that can last up to 6 months but I should see most of the results by 3 months or 6 weeks or I should just continue to be patient, lol.

My Dr. had me start using it as soon as stitches were out. I use it 4x a day. Your peeling and itching may be from the /mmh/product/beauty/mederma/index.vm?procid=13&catid=214" target=_blank>Mederma itself.
My scars in front of my ears are totally flat, tho still a bit red; the ones behind my ears are a bit bunched up still, so I try to massage them lightly.
