14 weeks PO - Look 10 years younger!

Question
Glad to have found this website After almost "3" months post op can finally begin to appreciate the results. I had a F/L and laser http://www.makemeheal.com/pictures/viewAlbum.php?albumid=733
Nobody who doesn't know me well would even know anything was unusual about my appearance, though. I can hide the redness with makeup and pull my hair around my ear scars!
I will post photos in a week or so of, I hope, a new, improved me.

Answer
Hi Divasmom! You had upper bleph??? Your eyes looked perfect before the surgery, I could see why you had f/l,n/l but could not understand about eyes. Anyways, you look really, really good.Good luck to you and speedy recovery!

Answer
Jilly and Divasmom,
You guys are in the early stages of recovery. Although this can seem like a long and drawn out process, things gradually improve and then you eventually start to appreciate the results. From reading other posts on this site, some say it takes 6 months or even more to see the final result and start to feel like a normal person again.
I've tried several foundations to conceal the redness and slight bruising. Some made me look like a mannequin. However, there is a new foundation that came out last year. - Flawless Skin /mmh/product/makeup/index.vm?procid=54" target=_blank>Makeup by /mmh/product/makeup/prescriptives/index.vm?procid=54&catid=978" target=_blank>Prescriptives. It helps with the redness and gives a more natural look. Jilly keep your makeup brush - it is great to give an even toned look to the foundation - works better than a sponge or your fingers.
Divasmom - saw your picture. Boy you look great!!
Well take care all and let us know how your recovery is coming along.

Yes, I will keep the makeup brush - I actually like it. It's the foundation that I'm having a problem with. I think it's too thick.. Where do you get this Flawless stuff?
Divasmom - you look absolutely great for 4 days. Can't even see any bruising. My bruises took a couple of weeks to go. Is that an earring I see? I just tried a couple of days ago to put some in and no go in one lobe - can't get it through.

Answer
Jilly,
You can find Prescriptives Flawless /mmh/product/beauty/index.vm?procid=13" target=_blank>Skin Foundation in most department stores. It's a good idea to have the counter lady do a color match so you can get the best shade for your skin tone.
