I am a total nervous nellie only because I am afraid the before the big day!
I'll be checking on you tomorrow, again. I guess tonight will be the "last supper" for you? I tend to get indigestion easily....so I will probably be eating stuff like porridge the week before!!! (Well....actually....maybe I'll have one more S. Indian Marsala Dosai from the new take-out, a few nights before!)
Do you like jigsaw puzzles? I have a couple of really "crueL' looking ones that I've never attempted. One is in black, gray and white--it's a lovely bleak scene ( I LOVE bleak!) of a lonely lighthouse being pounded by the crashing waves of an angry sea. It will CERTAINLY take me my full month of recovery to solve! (And--bonus! I recently spotted a perfectly good giant desk blotter being tossed away by my neighbors....so I've reeled it in, and can now sprawl out all the puzzle pieces on it...but still be able to slip it away under my bed, when I get bored!!)
You have a good day....ttyt, Twin Lynn

Hi Rose, Your time is almost here - I know you are excited and ready to get the show on the road. I'm at day 3 and I am so glad I had this done - can't tell the real results yet because of bandage and swelling along the jaw but I can tell I'm going to love it. It will all seem like a dream - I'm still having to let my emotions catch up with the surgery - I know I've had it but it's still hard to believe.
You are so upbeat and informed and that will help you the most - that and lots of rest, liquids and crackers (non-salty of course). I will be rooting for you and waiting for you on the "other side" - just one more step and you will join the other March/April girls who have passed over into the known.
Take care Rose - you are already one lovely, positive lady.
We will all be there with you in our thoughts>

Answer
Hi all
Thanks to everyone for the warm, positive posts. Sincerely. Many of you have thanked me for starting the March/April group but I honestly did it out of my own needs - knowing that having mates to share this with is important to peace of mind. You have all, every single one of you helped me - you have no idea and I find it difficult to explain. I can show it though by sending all of you a big, warm thank you from my head and from my heart.
It's now 1:20am Sunday morning - guess my excitement has given me insomnia. When I went to bed, a few hours ago, I read my book until the words swam, turned off the light and BOOM - I'm wide awake again. Tossed n turned n said bugger it, I'm getting up and going to eat some chocolate. True ! Chocolate. mmmmmm.
I wanted to sleep and wake up and it be Sunday. Instead it's Sunday and I've not been asleep.
I plan on posting as soon as possible afterwards. If any of you are like me, you look for word from those straight after their procedures. I hope my eyes will be clear enough to post. I stay overnight at the clinic so I'll not post until Tuesday my time (hopefully) which will be Monday in America.
your thankful and humble friend
rose

Now, careful about telling your ps surgeon that, or he/she may just take you "down the hall" for immediate psychiatric evaluation. OR....alternatively....perhaps he'll hand you applications for med schools! I guess I'm not surprised, Rose. Wasn't it you who gave us that fl surgery website with the technicolor operation pix?? (Actually, it was a great, informative site and those lucky patients got to add their 'slice 'n dice' pix to their photo albums: Before, DURING, and After!)
Math has never been my forte, so I'm not sure what time it is in your part of the world, but I suspect you've been up for hours. Am hoping you eventually got to sleep last night after your insomnia. (I, too, start to fall asleep each nite reading...the words of my book swimming - UNTIL I turn the light out. Then, it's instant "mind alert" and I'm lying in bed with my eyes open like little fried eggs!) Anyway!...will check in again but just wanted to send a hug and a kiss from da twinz!
