Retin A with Bleaching Cream

Question
Hello,
This is my first time posting to this area of MMH. I recently, 9 weeks ago, had Rhiniplasty and today I went for a free Microdermabrasion & facial session at my PS office. A token of thanks and a great way to drum up new business too. I talked to the lady who did my procedure today and I'm considering starting on Retin A & she said to mix it with Bleaching Cream. Does anybody out there currently do this, is the Bleaching Cream necessary and what are their benefits? I hear of a lot of people who are on Reting A (perscription) and it's working. I'm just curious about eh cream...
Thanks ladies. Any and all advice at this time is greatly appreciated.

You might want to try posting on the antiaging skincare, a ton of retin a users there.
I have some questions-
what type of bleaching cream? do you have the name and ingredients?
did she say why she suggested bleaching cream- do you have pigment issues? If so a fast way to address that is with a series of light tca /mmh/product/chemicalpeel/index.vm?procid=4" target=_blank>peels.
there is evidence for and retin a is fda approved to treat fine wrinkling from photo damage. I don't think (my opinion) the results are miraculous- and it does take a lot of time to see results- which will be subtle. Either way, it is one of the only effective ingredients out there to address some skin damage, and should be used in serious skin care regime. You will better results by combining with other aspects of a good skin care regime (aha's, vit c or cp, dmae, /mmh/product/beauty/sunscreen/index.vm?procid=13&catid=304" target=_blank>sunscreen, etc.) It is never to early to start!
Why don't you come down to the skin care board- you will get all the help
you need to start a good regime, and suggestions to get great products on the net to save a bundle of $.
and good luck with the rhino! that was one of the very first procedures I had a long, long, long time ago

HI Sassy! I agree...come over to the antiaging board!! Obagi system is based upon using retinA mixed with their Obagi Blender (a hydroquinone product) so it definitely can be done. Sexibeach on the antiaging boards is a wealth of information on that subject!BR, Chin/Neck Lipo 6/29/2005; BR revisions and lipo 5/24/2006

Lekat,
Thanks for replying to my post and stearing me in the right direction...to the anti aging board. I called the girl back today and asked her a few ?'s regarding the Bleach Cream - she said I had a little redness, I forget the term she used, on my face and said the cream would help even out my complexion. Personally, I am unaware of redness and if there is some it is not a concern of mine at this time. She did say however, that I could use just the RetinA and that would be be fine. Sorry, I didn't even think to ask what brand the cream is or what ingrediants it contains. . So far my nose is doing well and although I know there is still some swelling that still needs to come down I'm happy with the results thus far.
I'm hopping over to the Anti Aging Board! I'll see you there.
Sassy
