Question
Hello everyone,
I found this board and there seems to be some very knowledgeable people around here. Well, I applied 12.5% http://messageboards.makemeheal.com/viewtopic.php?p=54379&highlight=#54379
I found out the hard way on who to purchase from as you may have purchased from the same buyer. Also if it said 2 oz it may have come in a little larger bottle but only contain 1 full oz as mine did as well as others with the same complaint. Sometimes the old saying "you get what you pay for" is very true. So be very careful regarding who you purchase from there. Ask around first and use those recommended.
Answer
Soooooo, does anyone have a specific seller that is reputable that sells an adjustable 100% TCA?
TIA,
Brooke
Answer
I can tell that the TCA /mmh/product/chemicalpeel/index.vm?procid=4" target=_blank>Peel did in fact help a little bit, just not to the degree that I was hoping since it was such a low concentration. Do you think that I would be ok doing another peel tomorrow night? (Monday)
Answer
YOu should be fine to do it again---

First of all, Lekat, you're a goddess. Thanks for all of your help thus far.
Yesterday I peeled again this time with 15% /mmh/product/chemicalpeel/home_peels/tca/index.vm?procid=4&catid=1045&subcatid=1047" target=_blank>TCA on the same areas as last time. It appears to have worked a little better, but not to the degree that I was hoping for. I have a family barbeque on may 6th which I would like to have a deep peel done by, because my body looks great but I do not want to be embarassed by my /mmh/product/beauty/index.vm?procid=13" target=_blank>skin.
I was thinking of doing another layer of TCA 15% today again in order to hopefully induce some deeper peeling. Is there any reason why I shouldn't?
Thanks!
Answer
Try it again, you should be fine by the 6th- 2 layers, if no frosting you can go for 3---

I did the extra layers last week and it seemed to work out great, except for now I am having an issue with /mmh/product/chemicalpeel/index.vm?procid=4" target=_blank>peeling. Its two days away from saturday and I am still having a lot of peeling. What can I do to take care of the peeling ASAP, I have already been using the warm compress method and its helping but I dont think it will do the trick in time.
Thanks
Answer
Just keep doing the warm water compresses.
Do not pick or manual peel as that will cause prolonged redness in the area you peel off, as bad or worse than have the flakes.
I really think you will be fine by Saturday.
When the flaking gets down to minimal, or certainly by Friday night/Sat.am,
you can safely buff with exfoiliation grains to help reduce the rest of the flakes.
Answer
Okay, thanks Lekat. Thats good you mentioned not to manually remove the skin, because I was actually doing that last night using a wet cotton washcloth, moving it lightly against the skin in a circular pattern. It did cause temporary redness, and it did not feel too great so I stopped. Today there isn't any sign of redness so it would appear that I got off easy.
Also, how should I deal with sun exposure, would a low SPF suffice in order to let me get a slight tan? (as I thought that the new skin is sensitive to over tanning, leaving brown discoloration)
Thank you for all your help, I feel guilty asking so many qustions. To be honest, you are what makes this forum work and I am very greatful for your assistance.
