19 days post op - VERY DEPRESSED

Question
Hi all! I am 19 days post of from f/l, n/l with might come off the slightest bit when I yawn really big (well, actually I can't yawn really big because my jaw is still tight) . I wouldn't have noticed if you hadn't asked and I hadn't run to the mirror to check.
The incisions are just below my lashes.
Thank you for your kind words. I know I had a lot done at once so I'm really not being fair to compare myself to others who only had one or two things. I was just really hoping to turn a corner at two weeks and be VERY presentable at 3. Two weeks came and went and 3 weeks will be tomorrow so I guess I will just keep waiting.
In the mean time I'm going to get some fake glasses and get on with it!
Thanks again!

Answer
... If you broke your leg you would be in plaster for 6 weeks and then when the plaster comes off you would probably still need crutches.I have put some patience pills in the post.
Great analogy!! Hope it's a BIG bottle!!
Thanks!!

Answer
ewhite723, Yep depression takes over when you least expect it, this too shall pass!! I think we all had a cry or two after surgery, I know I did. Swelling seems to stay a long time, I'm 5 months post op and still sore and swollen along the jaw line. My bonnet strings are still tied tight! It's a long recovery no one told us about so please don't worry!
Sharon, thanks!!
You are right. I think that I am just so used to being very active and all this sitting in the house is really starting to get to me. It is helpful to know that I'm not the only one!! Thank you so much for taking the time to remind me of that!!

Answer
Elise,
.....I think we both need to give this more time before panicking. Did you get to go fishing in La as you had planned?
And stay optimistic!!

I know...you are right!
I am sure that little "puff" under your chin will go away. I just think it's common for it to sort of pool up right there. Don't forget there is probably some scar tissue in there too. From what I've read the neck takes a really long time to "settle in".
I sent you an email after I saw your pics. Did you get it? Are you right in New Orleans? I sent it from my husbands laptop using a wireless connection so maybe it didn't go through.
Yes, we went to the fishing camp. I caught the biggest bass I have ever caught. That's been the most exciting thing that's happened lately...pitiful huh?
I added a couple of "droopy eye" pics yesterday. Email me if you lost the link.
