Question
Ok everyone i am at 12 weeks post up from my upper bleph and brow lift and when i wake up every morning have crusty and tearing eyes and it's the same every day. I must not be shutting my eyes when i sleep all the way...am in trouble, did he cut too much and this is permanent or what? I can't afford to go to an eye dr. now but I am losing lashes from this crusty eye part and i must be rubbing my eyes....
Any ideas?

Answer
I am having trouble closing one of my eyes and its dry and tearing a bit. Can't help you with why this is happening but here's what I do and it helps.
I use Lacri-Lube Eye Ointment at night before bed (have been told Refresh Eye Gel is good also). Do you use anything to keep it moist before going to bed? I was also told to use saran wrap over my eyes to keep it shut- I havent tried this.
Do you have problems during the day?
Answer
Hi Debbie...I had upper&lower bleph a yr ago and probably for the first 3/4 months i put eye GEL in before bed and the first few months i also used eye DROPS in the morning.Dry eye is VERY common with bleph surgery.I still if i am at a place where they allow smoking, use the gel or drops when i get home.My eyes are still after a year light sensitive and always have a ton of sunglasses where ever i go.Really with the drops&gel any brand will work[when putting gel in be ready for bed because its hard to see with it in ...kinda blurry.annemarie

I don't want to discourage you, but I had uppers and lowers done well over a year ago and my eyes are still dry - they were doing well for awhile, but then allergies and hot weather affectedt them again.
Good luck!
