Question
I am 3 months out from BL and one is bigger than the other. I have been patiently waiting to see if anything would change, but it hasn't. How does one go about fixing the problem of one being bigger than the other if you don't have implants? Also, if you measure from the center of my chest to the start of each areola, there is over a 1/2 inch difference. This bothers me alot....I just don't know if it's fixable. I am going to bring this up at my next appt. but nervous about how he will react.Full Body Lipo/BL- Sept. 29, 2005

Answer
Some size and shape differences are inevitable, and I tell patients about these things before surgery if I expect they will have them afterwards. A good way to really see what is going on is to look at your before and afters with your doc...that way you can both see the changes that have occured for the better, plus address any problems.
Answer
I'm talking quite a bit of difference here....and...the one that used to be bigger is now smaller. Mentally, I don't know if I can just "live with it." I paid ALOT of money to get nice boobs and I feel like I'm dealing with the same thing I was before I had surgery.Full Body Lipo/BL- Sept. 29, 2005

Since you're three months post BL - have you mentioned your concerns at any of your post op appointments? If so, what was the reaction of your PS? Did he agree with your concerns or have any ideas what was going on or if correction would be needed?
Answer
Miper I have a similar problem to you, although I had both a reduction and lift. The left breast which was bigger is now smaller. It's been the same since the day of my BR, which was over 3 months ago, and I said it to the PS the day the dressings were taken off. I have also been waiting patiently for a change, but I know it won't happen. I have my next appt in January, and will ask what can be done. It's frustrating because I can now wear nice fitted tops, and even go bra-less, but it's obvious that one is bigger than the other....grrrr.
Answer
That's exactly how I feel. You can SEE the difference even through clothes. The only problem I have is I don't want to go any smaller, but having had major problems with my body rejecting stitches (and other problems), I'm scared to death to try implants.Full Body Lipo/BL- Sept. 29, 2005

Jaxkats,
Since I've had so many problems after my TT, that's all my appts have been about since then. He digs in my incision, takes as much out as he can then I'm on my way. He hasn't even looked at or discussed my breasts since before the last surgery. This next appt., I plan on bringing it up.......that's why I wanted to know some more about revisions on it before I went in.Full Body Lipo/BL- Sept. 29, 2005

Answer
Good luck miper70 - I hope when you address the issue with your PS that he has some good solutions for you. I think it has to be very hard to go through so much to obtain a certain look and then not have it.
I'll be sending all good revision vibes your way!!! GraceB
