Question
Today the sutures were removed. I was all ready for pain. I was definitely surprised not even a little painful. For some reason it seems to good to be true. MyPS seems to be firm in getting back to normal activities. Basically back to everything except for lifting he said no more than 15 lbs if I have to. No swimming for 2 more weeks. Next week I take the steri strips off myself. I don't se him again until Aug. PS was very pleased. I laughed when I said I could sleep on my side. That still bothers me. When it comes down to it I'm thrilled with the results. I should be a C from a DDD I'd even take a D.

Sounds like you're doing great. I go tomorrow for my 1st postop visit (10 days). Still have 3 drains (BR/TT).
The painless event gives me encouragement. I called the pharmacist to find out the best time for max results on my anti-spasm med & pain med to ward off some of the anticipated pain from the visit.
Thanks for the heads up.
I'm ready for some activity, but it is still 7-10 days out. PS already told me the couch will be my friend for another week after the drains are out.
Glad you're sleeping normally, I'm still in the recliner.
Do take it easy.

So happy to hear you are doing so well. Though I would take it very easy still. We all want your recovery to continue to be smooth, and over doing too early could set you back, so please enjoy the new girls, the great new view and easy does it...

Hi Kglasser,
I'm 9 days PO and feeling great. I got my staples out on Tuesday and I thought it was going to hurt but it was a breeze. My PS told me to ease myself back into normal activities. He also said I could drive but I don't feel comfortable with that yet because I'm still swollen a good bit under my arms. But all and all the girls look good. I'm very satisfied. Congratulations and Continue to do well.
