(mieshammie) question for Bea

Question
Hi Bea, If Im not mistaken you were talking about your breasts being a smidge uneven, and was thinking about a revision. I too have one that is slightly smaller than the other, also, the smaller is the one that was larger to begin with. Its only a slight differance, like yours. My husband says he can tell a little bit. Friends have said they can barely tell, but to me that is all I see. I do love my new breasts, but figure if I went through all of this I really would like to have them EXACTLY the same size. Also, I think one nipple is a tiny bit higher than the other. My question is, are you still considering a revision, and how did your PS react to your wanting to do it. I fear my PS will say it is so slight that I should try to live with it. I have to say, if I did nothing I could live with it, but I really dont think I want to. Just wanted to know how your progress was coming.
Thank You
Chrissey

Answer
Hello Chrissey! Yes it was me, and I'm still trying to resolve my dilemma. When I saw my PS I wore a 32C bra which clearly bulged on the right hand side. Given that I was supposed to be a 32B I thought this would be evidence enough. I was pleased that my PS immediately saw my problem, and freely admitted that he had "miscalculated" when reducing my right side. He's happy to do a revision at no cost, but I would still have hospital costs since I would need a general anaesthetic, since he would have to open up all the incisions on that side. That rather took me aback, because I thought he would be able to do the revision under local.
To summarise, he originally took 280g from left (which was bigger) and 180g from right, and now thinks he needs to take another 60g from right.
I really want to have this revision, but the prospect of going through the months of recovery again is very demoralising. I'm only now back to my pre-surgery fitness levels. Also, I realise that only I notice the difference, and for the most part I can disguise it. Finally, I worry that because my first op went so incredibly smoothly, a 2nd can't possibly go so well (and I now know much more about what can go wrong!) and what's to say I won't end up still being uneven?
I've posted a picture on my album which shows how I am now, and a /pictures/index.php" target=_blank>photo that I've edited to represent what a revision might achieve. I know perfect symmetry isn't possible, but I know it's an improvement.
It's in your PS best interest to have a satisfied customer, so you might be pleasantly surprised at his reaction. Also you might discover that a revision in your case is not so invasive, so do have a talk to him. Do you have pictures posted? If you want to e-mail me privately do feel free to do so, I'd be more than happy to compare notes.
All best, Bea

Answer
Hi Bea, I dont have pictures posted, I am pretty technology challenged, LOL Thank you for your reply. I defineately wouldnt want to be opened up again. I am 6 wks post op, and have healed quite nicely so far. I dont want to take a chance on ruining a good thing. I have seen your pics and agree you are a little uneven, but only when you reallly look for it. I think mine are about the same uneveness, I know we are really picking ourselves apart right now because it is all so new, but I really dont want to spend my life trying to hide the fact that my breasts are not even. I have been taking a poll at work, I am a hairstylist so I have alot of access to alot of women, most women tell me that theyre breats are uneven, and so are theyre nipples. I can see where natural breasts are uneven, but dont you think man made ones could be a bit more symetrical? I know mine could still change some, but I doubt they will totally even out. I was a DDD and am now a B, I think, as I a have gone bra shopping and have left every time with nothing, because nothing really fits right now. My breasts seem to be wider instead of sticking out as if I havent dropped and fluffed enough yet, therefore, I dont fill out a B cup completely, yet. I am a little unhappy about that as well, as I was supposed to be a C. As I said before, I am being patient and hopeing I will drop and fluff a bit more. Boy, if we didnt have patience before this surgery, we sure have learned to have some now!! I did have quite a bit of work done so it may take longer for me to take a final shape. I had 2000 cc taken out, which my doc says is about 5 lbs, I also had /mmh/product/liposuction/index.vm?procid=9" target=_blank>lipo on the sides, and lipo on my upper arms, about 2 lbs each arm, which is a whole other story. I dont have a PS appt. until the third week of March, so I will be patient until then, but I will talk to him about the size then, if necessary. I also have a /mmh/product/scar_reduction/index.vm?procid=42" target=_blank>scar on the right side that comes out to the middle of my cleavage and is very noticeable, in fact thats all I see when I look in the mirror, so , we will be defineatly be discussing that as well. Im sure that wont be such a big deal for a little scar revision. I Hope. Anyway thanks for your reply, and thanks for listening to me vent. The support here is great. Please let me know if you make any decissions, and I will let you know as well. I will try to figure out how to post pics.
Thanks,
Chrissey
