I had all dissolvable stitches and had absolutely no problems with them except for one spitting stitch which I pulled out myself. Other than that I was taped up for 10 weeks to keep the incisions flat and that seems to have worked and the scars are now starting to fade to a very pale pink and in some places to white.
Try not to get too nervous. I think most people get through the procedure with not too many problems and in some cases, with no problems at all. Just think positively!!

Hi, Veronica! My stitches were all dissolvable, covered with steritape for a week. Seems to have worked out fine.

Sounds like my surgeons plan , the disolvables then steri-Strips for a week! just out of curiosity , WHERE do you get steri-Strips if need be???Veronica
