19 to 21cms

Question
I've heard this measurement....19 to 21 cms.........is the ideal measurement for the position of the nipples. What measurement is this? From where to the nipple? I think this is 7 and a half to 9 inches. Thanks

Answer
It is the "N2N", or notch to nipple measurement. It is taken from the sternal notch (feel the two bony protuberances right below your neck in the middle of the top of your chest) to the nipple itself.

Answer
That measurement is from the sternal notch (the bony "V" at the base of the neck).

Answer
Thank you. This may be a silly question but do you measure diagonally down to the nipple or staight down to the same level as the nipple?

Answer
sorry, just realised it's to the nipple itself!

Answer
I'm going to ask my PS to put mine a little lower. I don't want my boobies looking so young while the rest of me is a fine antique.

Answer
I'd double think the lower nipple idea....you don't want to look as if you are saggy or pointing down right out of the gate! And the lower nipple can give that illusion. I've seen nipples placed too high, too low, and too peripherally....although not a tragedy...there is no perfection, so you might as well aim for it from the get go.

Answer
I have problems with bottoming out, which I hope my PS is going to address, but when he measured N2N at my 6 week check he said they were 19cm.
To me, that is too high, and maybe it's the way I'm holding the tape, but I make the left nipple barely 18cm, and the right 19cm!!! Do you measure from the top of the bony protuberance on each side, or from the bottom of the 'V'?
I do have confidence in my PS, and I know the nipples cannot now be moved, so I am hoping that tightening up the http://www.makemeheal.com/pictures/viewAlbum.php?albumid=1538.

Answer
I had my 5 month (and final) check-up on Monday, and measured 21 cm.
Very pleased

Answer
Hi LookinUp,
Could you clarify for me please, the actual way of measuring the N2N?
Which part of the sternal notch do you measure from? Is it the bottom part of the 'V', or the top edge ot the bone each side, to each nipple?
I am gettng quite paranoid, and get different measurements each time I try
I know it's ultimately up to PS as to a revision, but I NEED to know whether or not the measurement is as he says
I am a control freak

Answer
My PS measured from the place the bone protrudes to the nipple itself.

Answer
Dazz - I think it is from right at the "V". where there is an indentation. I think...
I measured and I'm at 33 cm!

Ha Ha! You are going to be sooo happy after the BR
I remember my PS saying at my pre BR consult that my nipples were 9cm lower than 'the ideal', so that must have made them about 28cm
I think actually Lookinup is correct in saying the measurement is from where the bone protudes. I am definitely 18cm on the left and 19cm on the right, if that is correct. I shall certainly be questioning my PS in detail on Wednesday!

Answer
I was at 35 on the left and 40 on the right. Thats why we discussed the FNG, my PS said any more than 35 he has to consider it. I am at 21 on both sides and they look fabulous. I am not able to share pictures, but take my word for it!!
