Hi Everyone! Had the BR on 12-26. Feel "Boobless" compared to carrying around gallon jugs for years!
Question is: Front doesn't bother me too much, but it's the "sides" that concern me. This is where the drains were and it looks like the side of a cardboard box.
How long does this take to go away?
Also, how long until I feel comfortable going out in public? I tried yesterday to get a paper, but freaked out with other people around me. Scared they would run into me!
Any help with these concerns?

Healing time varies...did you also have side lipo? If not, the sides should be feeling better in a week to 10 days...as far as going out and feeling comfortable...I went out two days after my BR (drains tucked into my 'hoodie' and all) and felt completely comfortable and 4 days post op went to a 4th of july barbeque (still had hidden drains)....that question can only be answered by you....what are you afraid others will 'see'? chances are, you are more 'critical' or 'observant?' of yourself than anyone else would be.

Under my arms still is tender and sore. I asked my PS and he said 99% of his clients have the most discomfort there, he said it is where all the nerves stem from in the boob region, so, they have suffered major trauma and have to heal from the inside out. I don't have a boxey shape though, never did, so I don't know what to say about that. I am sure as the swelling goes down, everything will look more normal.
I did not feel comfortable in public for about a week. I would try to go in to the store, but end up having to have my room mate go in without me. I still haven't driven 2 weeks out!! I think I have been overly cautious. But, I am healing well, so I think it must be working. I am getting back to normal and I am driving and visiting clients tomorrow.
