Hi ladies! Well now I have a good idea why my BR seemed a more difficult experience then what I expected. I saw the PS for my follow up today (six days PO) and he said that he took out about 1800 grams EACH breast! That's a huge amount! He'll tell me the exact amt when the pathology report comes back. He was very very happy w/ my progress and how I look. DH and I even heard him tell the nurse this out in the hall. He said that yes the brusing and swelling is bad but it is going to get better and beter. I feel better today all around, my feelings and physicaly. I just wanted to share!

Answer
Congratulations on your progress. You will feel better as each day passes.
Just don't over do it because you're feeling better.

Hi Roz. I thought it was you who also had a large reduction. I told my DH that I thought there were only 1-2 others like mine. My BB were so dense, wide & full. I think mine only took about 2 hours. I went into surgery around 1:30- 2:00 and was put in a room around 6:00 I think. Glad you're doing well!

Val-Hon I think you may find out in Jan that you had a lot taken out too! Your boobs before BR were full like mine. I tried on a D cup and I don't fill it out all the way so I think I'm a C right now but I still have a huge amount of swelling on the sides and it seems to be moving around, filling out into the front so I may end up a D. I wanted a C/D so I'm happy! I was looking at some of my before pics earlier and it was shocking! When you are wearing those BB every day you just don't realize how big they really are!
Ellie-I'm sorry I don't have any experience w/ lumps, but if it was me I would get w/ a doctor asap. They will be able to help you. Good luck!

Roz you and Iamblessed have got to feel a huge relief. I had 1300 of one side and 1200 off the other and I feel so much better. I am 8 months OTR and went from a DDD or E to a small c or b and I love it!!!!!!

2 days and the big girls will be much smaller! Can't wait to know how much lighter they will be.
Talked to the Dr. Monday and he thinks it's a cyst and will biopsy it Friday when he does his thing. I'm sure it's nothing, it just threw me for a loop. Thanks for the suggestion to talk to him.
I am an h/i cup and hoping for a C maybe D but who the heck knows so anticipate a few lbs. lighter soon!

Wow, Roz, that was a fast reduction for such a large reduction. Mine was almost 6hrs. However, I bled badly. I am sure that had a lot to do with it being such a long surgery.
