My insurance is an HMO, all I am supposed to pay is 100 dollars. I got my "this is not a bill" letter from the hospital the other day, the total procedure cost 17,919.00 whew thats a lot of money

Mine is a PPO...not that i understand the defferance between HMP PPO and all that other stuff LOLO. I know our stupid insurance keeps getting worse and worse! Last year co pays were like $10 now they are $15 next year Dh said it was going to $20.was 38DDD now 36B/C

actually mine says its a HMO and PPO so Im not sure which is what. I know when I had my surgery in May it awas a 7k surgery and all I paid was the 100 dollar copay

All ICs have a max out of pocket amount....some are extremely high (for example, if you have catastrophic insurance--but it is dirt cheap on a monthly basis).

4 months and 2 weeks, IC still has not paid my PS or billed me. I called them Monday and they said that in the records it shows I have a $20.00 copay and then there was an error and they "threw it away". So she had to open it up again for billing and get it straight by Nov 22. My out of pocket is 2k for out of network but I only pay 1k for this since that is the deductable.
