What happens during the first post-op appt? I have steri-strips and internal stiches. I can't wait to get my PS's opinion on how things look. I'll feel SO much better...oh and if anyone was wondering...I have Obsessive COmpulsive Disorder so this has been pretty hard for me! LOL...as if you couldn't tell!

My first post-op was after 10 days, with the nurse. She removed all the bandages, let me have a look at the incisions, and then put on steri-strips and a waterproof strip on top. I could then have a shower. Had to keep it dry until then, which was a pain

My first post op was 6 days after....they took the drains out, told me I needed no more bandages, told me to alternate neosporin and cocoa butter on the incisions, told Dave to rub my nipples several times a day to get the sensitivity down, told me I could have sex in a week and that was it. My next post op is the 28th which is about 30 days after the surgery

My first post op was 2 days after the procedure...they removed the ace bandage and pain pump (but alas, the drains were still draining far to much to be removed yet)....changed the tape over the incision lines, cut the two non-dissolvable stitches on each areola, put me in the sports bra that I provided, and said 'you look great'...see you when you are draining less than 25 ccs in a 24 hour period.

My first PO was at day 3 - because he couldn't make it over to the hospital to check me out, so I had to stop by his office on the way home. No biggy. He just wanted to make sure I was still looking good. My next appointment was day 5 - he took out one drain (the other stayed 2 more days). I didn't have wrappings or a bra - everything was just out in the open.
