I just cannot stop worrying about EVERYTHING. I am pretty sore today...worse than yesterday but I assume that's because of the anesthesia wearing off. I also keep worrying about infection and fevers! Was everyone else a big worry wort too? I'm still so http://www.makemeheal.com/pictures/viewAlbum.php?albumid=1867 password- hooters

Thanks for your quick reply...sorry I didn't really introduce myself! I'm just a worried mess right now. I got a cold a few days before surgery and just had an annoying cough for the surgery...so that has just complicated things for me....worries, worries...
I just can't wait to have a follow up visit just so I can be reassured that everything is going according to plan!
I'm glad you are doing so well! I wish I could have such a wonderful attitude...I'm trying!!
Answer
A few concerns are normal, but try not let them get the better of you. You are in good hands with your PS - you have a team looking over you.
Hang in there - you could also just be reacting weird to the drugs from surgery. One lady here wrote that she was an angry woman on the meds. Everyone reacts differently. ShaniFaye is hysterical and I had hallucinations.
Drink your water, get plenty of rest, and watch movies or something so your brain keeps busy and you won't worry.
Congrats. on the BR - and please know we are all here to help and support each other.

Why are you being so hard on yourself!!! It's only been one day! Give yourself a break! The meds/anesthesia probably are affecting your brain...once they leave your system, you'll most likely think clearly...and you'll continue to get better every day. Discomfort goes with the territory..and is definitely more noticeable when the loopiness wears off. But the discomfort will wear off too...and then you can go without a bra and feel great!

Heheheh......I'm a week post op today and i've been stressing on the extra 11 lbs from the anesthesia/fluids I had. Just ask anyone here.
You just need to realize that you've got to put your trust and faith in your PS.....
I was pretty sore the for the first 4 days....still sore, not as much. Though I slept alot over the past week.
Eat some dry plain toast before you take your percocets and then just sleep away!
Good luck [url=http://www.TickerFactory.com/]

hey, I thought I was hysterical without the drugs!!!
I will tell you the WORST thing i did was take the pain pills. I wish I'd never done it. I was in tears all day sunday for absolutely no reasons (if you dont count it was my one year wedding anniversary lol)
as much as I hate tylenol, it honestly takes care of the "discomfort" MUCH better than the narcotics and doesnt make you feel like you dived in a lake on earth and surfaced on naboo!!
I 2nd the water....every time I've started to feel "off" I drink a bottle of water and instantly feel some relief

All the pills did was make me sleep/snore! Hubby told me i'd occassionaly wake up and tell him he was making too much noise....and i'd be snoring again in seconds!
They didn't make me feel loopy at all![url=http://www.TickerFactory.com/]

Shani - You were funny before the drugs too, you are just more so with them.
I thought we were having electrical problems when I was on the narcs. I swore (and still do) the lights were flashing off and on. I just couldn't figure out why the tv or radio wouldn't go off when the lights did. I also saw "things" run across the carpet - not mice but something. I kept trying to get the cat or dog to catch it. The dog looked at me like I was nuts - the cat just looked at me then walked away. The people, who call themselves family, laughed at me!! Glad the electrical problems straighten themselves out and those things quit running across my floors.

You will be just fine. Being sore is unavoidable. I have been going crazy with the extreme swelling but what can I expect? At a few days post-op...go to sleep! http://www.makemeheal.com/pictures/viewAlbum.php?albumid=1987.

Answer
Welcome Heather! Soreness is natural, when you cut your finger it is sore for awhile well they cut alot more than your finger. Give it time, take you pills, sleep, read, watch soap operas, take avantage of the time to be lazy, as the days go by you will start to feel better and better.
