Question
Hi Ladies- I'm back after quite a while that I haven't visited the site. I am now about 10 or 11 weeks out and am realizing that the swelling is all gone and I'm still feeling "big chested"!!! I was wearing 34DD and busting out of them so who knows what size I should have been in. Now I am fitting into a 36D. UGH. I really wanted to go down to a C cup. I go shopping for bras and everything is cup sizes A, B and C's. Not many D's- and then they offer the minimizers for that! No way- not anymore!!
I mentioned this to the PS at my 8 week visit and she was surprised to hear about the bra size. She really wants me to wait until 4 months PO and then come back to see her. She said that she will make it the way I want it. WHAT??!! Go through this again??!!
Believe me, I am really grateful for how great I look compared to before. I just didn't want them to still be considered "big" and I consider a D to be big!
Anyone else have this happen? My insurance covered it all at 80% (YAHOO!) but I know if I have any revisions done, it will not be covered.
Sorry to vent, I'm just disappointed right now and wish I had more swelling that needed to go down!!
Nancy

Answer
Hi Nancy-
I understand your disappointment. Prior to surgery, I think you and I were pretty similar in size and shape. I am 7 weeks post-op today and I am also thinking that I'm bigger than I hoped. I have bought a couple of 36C bras, but it is pretty evident that I should be looking at D's. I have gone through my old bras and I found a few that fit pretty well now- I was hoping that none of my old bras would fit after surgery. But, if my size is a little too big, my shape is fantastic. It is a huge difference not to be flopping all over the place- they are firm and perky. I'm still hoping that I'm a little swollen, and as everyone says- give it a good 6 months for the healing and shape to settle.
Best wishes,
Jenny
