Question
Ok...wow, how interesting.
It was great....alot of questions were asked and answered. He was really nice and knew what he was talking about.
He measured my breasts and all that good stuff.
My BWD is 11 cm...they recommend 300 cc filled up to 325cc....is that okay? Or can i go just a little bigger?
I felt them...the small and the bigger implant.....i cant wait to have them.

Answer
Hi - What an exciting time for you. You can go with any implant which is just under the width of 1/2 your chest wall, not just the existing breast. How ever many ccs this is is totally incidental, the diameter of the implant is most important.
Is there some reason you would want saline rather than silicone, or is this what the doc offered? It's just been approved in the US ----Rose - Inamed410 "Gummy Bears" pics here

Answer
the doc basically told me the difference between the Saline and Silicone.
I think i am gonna go with Silicone.......it feels better. I just like the idea of having the saline, because my breasts are slightly different in size and they can fill it up so they both are the same size after the implants are in place. Or no? Am i seeing that wrong?
My hubby and i made the decision to go a little bigger then 300 cc.....cant wait to actually have it done....

Answer
Nicole,
I just went back and re-read...I noticed your PS is recommending saline. Am I right that YOU actually want silicone?
Because that is what the Inamed Style 20 is...silicone gel. It is actually termed "Responsive Gel" by Inamed.TooPetite

Answer
Nicole,
Me again Sorry, I think I am posting quicker than I am reading. I am a bit confused.
First, I think you want silicone. Is that right? Also, with a BWD of 11cm, you are somewhat limited to what will work for you in silicone. The Inamed Style 20 in 300cc will work, but I then noticed you said you want larger than 300. The only other implant in SILICONE that is bigger than 300cc that will fit your chest is:
Inamed Style 45, Smooth, Round, High Profile
320cc-10.4cm diameter-4.8cm projection
360cc-10.8cm diameter-5.1cm projection
But...the Style 45 is a silicone gel, but is alot more liquified than the Style 20. Another point I would like to make. The Style 45 in 320cc's is 10.4cm in width. That is exactly the width of my implants (although a different style). I will tell you that a 10.4cm width is NOT very wide. As a matter of fact, I feel a wider implant would have suited my chest better because I do have somewhat of a gap. My PS tells me my BWD is 11cm, although when I look at a 10.4 cm implant in my chest, I do feel I would have been better suited with a larger diameter...so I wonder if my BWD isn't slightly larger than 11cm My ribcage is 25.5, is this anywhere near your ribcage?
But, to go up to the 360cc's (which have a 10.8cm diameter) is quite large for a small frame (I think), if you are anywhere near my stats. That is why I thought you may be best suited with the Inamed Style 20, but you did say you want larger than 300's. There are more options if you go with saline, but I think you said you like the feel of silicone better.
Mentor have great implants, but I find they do tend to run a little larger diameters for close to the same cc's. So in my experience they don't seem to work as well for a small BWD trying to acheive a fair amount of cc's. I feel this with their silicone implants...I am not as familiar with their saline. I think Mentor Style 3000, Smooth, Round, High Profile Saline tends offer a fair amount of cc's for a narrower BWD, but not quite sure of this yet
I will wait to hear your other stats and see what we come up with from that. What is your weight, height, ribcage?TooPetite

Answer
Okay...i actually have to read all your posts twice...my gosh you know alot.
If i am correct, my ribcage is 28.
Other stats...5'7", 115 lbs, right now i am 32 A (dont fill that quiet unless its a push up), BWD is 11cm (thats what the dr said.)
The Dr. said, that both implant types will be good for me....So, i will have to make that decision on either Saline or Silicone. When i put the 300cc implant on my Breast, it felt great. I covered the implant with my whole hand. But i do want to go a little bigger.
I am really impressed of you guys. I wish i would of found this like 2 years ago. Thank you so much

Answer
Nicole,
If you are still considering saline, here is what I found that would fit your chest:
Inamed Style 68, Smooth, Round, High Profile
280cc filled to 300cc- 10.5cm diameter -5.2 cm projection
(but I think you want bigger than this)
Mentor Style 3000, Smooth, Round, High Profile
325cc- 10.2cm diameter - 5.8cm projection
350cc- 10.5cm diameter - 5.9cm projection
375cc- 10.7cm diameter- 6.0cm projection (This is probably wayyy more than you want )
To have all the implants on one page, I will list the silicones again:
Inamed Style 20, Round, Smooth, High Profile, Silicone Gel
300cc -10.9cm diameter - 4.5cm projection
Inamed Style 45, Round, Smooth, High Profile, Silicone Gel
320cc - 10.4cm diameter - 4.8cm projection
360cc - 10.8cm diameter - 5.1cm projection
So, I guess you just have to decide if you want silicone or saline. These implants range from 300cc to 360cc's. The projection range from 4.5cm to 6.0cm. Just something for you to look at
There are more implants that would fit your chest, but I don't think there are any more that would give you at or more than 300cc's. They start to become too wide for your chest. Unless you wanted to look at Inamed's Cohesive Gels (these are the firmest gel, like a "Gummy Bear". If you were intersted in that type there is one that would fit. May as well list it too.
Its the Inamed CUI/CMH Round, Textured Cohesive Gel. It has the the same fill as the Inamed 410 Series, except the 410 Series are anatomical. The anatomicals won't work for you because you can't get them in the 300gr range for an 11cm BWD. They are just too wide. All Inamed's Cohesive Gels (Gummy Bears) are TEXTURED.
This is the type I have, but mine are one size down...280gr, 10.4cm diameter, 5.0cm projection.
Inamed Cohesive Gel (Firmest--Gummy Bear) Round, Textured, High Profile
310gr-10.7cm diameter - 5.2cm projection
Ok, that is DEFINITELY ALL I know of. If there are any more someone will jump in and let me know that I missed one

Nicole,
I just looked at the link...beautiful! Her implants are a perfect match for her chest width. Notice the wonderful cleavage. That is also what I would have liked. That is what I meant by the implant needing to be wide enough. I am sure my implants should have been slightly wider because I do have somewhat of a gap between my breasts.
Again, my implants are 10.4cm wide. I have an extremely small frame, and the 10.4 is a little short on width for me. But...my PS says I have an 11cm BWD , but I am not sure I agree!
Here is the difference in our stats:
Me: 90lbs, 5 ft, 25.5 ribcage, 11cm BWD (I feel its more like 11.5 - 12.0)
You: 115lbs, 5'7 height, 28 ribcage, 11cm BWD
I was trying to caution you about that width. But...if your PS says you have an 11cm BWD, then just go by that and I am sure you will be fine. I guess I just wonder how an implant in the 10cm range can fit anyone else better than me I have not seen very many people as thin and narrow chested as I am, so I wonder how a "10 ish" width implant could fit them better than me. Because as I said, I DO have a gap and would not want you to end up with one if it can be prevented. It may be that I have some kind of "odd" shaped chest or something. I could be completely off track by thinking someone that has larger stats than I do would necessarily have a larger BWD I would like Miki or TC to comment on that. I just want to make sure your implants are wide enough so as you CAN achieve your best results possible. If I had found this site BEFORE my BA, I would have definitely concentrated ALOT of effort into better choosing my implant. I am ok with my results, but I just think they could have been a little better.
Since you have the opportunity, make sure you are SURE of the implant you choose. If I were doing this again, one of the main things I would talk about to my PS is the WIDTH of the implant. Be sure to tell him you DO NOT want a "gap". My PS told me I had an 11cm BWD, but yet the 10.4cm implant seems too short in width Again, I feel my BWD is more like 11.5cm to 12cm. But...that doesn't matter now, what matters is its "your turn" now. Alot of ladies concentrate on getting the amount of cc's they are wanting. That is SUCH a mistake!! You MUST concentrate on being sure your implant is WIDE enough. That is the very most important thing to achieve your best cleavage and overall pleasing results
I know you like the results in the link you have posted, and I agree with you, they are beautiful results. This lady matched her BWD "perfectly" with her implant width and therefore yielded beautiful results. So, you do the same, and I am sure you will come out "smiling"
Nicole,
I came back in to edit this post and ask you if just for the heck of it, you would do your own measurement of your BWD and let us know what you come up with. Get someone to help you measure as it is very difficult to do this on your own. Also, could you do it 2 or 3 times to try to get a really accurate measurement. Here is the MMH link on how to do this. Let us know what number you come up with
I have a "funny feeling" you are going to get "larger" than 11 cm...but I could be very wrong If you do get larger than 11cm then that will tell us that your PS does NOT measure the way we do. If that is the case we will have to re-think your choices of implants. But thats ok, between all of us, we will find the perfect implant for you
I will be very anxious to see what you come up with!!

Ok...i looked at the link you gave me and my Dr did not measure it that way in the first example...he measured it like the sec one for the breastlift, although i dont need a breastlift. But i will measure it the way in the first example.
I really enjoy your posts...takes me a while to fully understand it but it is in plain english...thank you for that.

I suspected your doc was only measuring the breast - I am going to try ahttp://www.makemeheal.com/pictures/viewAlbum.php?albumid=293.
