Hi all, I am day 2 post op and doing well, and so very grateful for all the wonderful suport and encouragement. As I already posted, I went from 475's filled to 525 's in round mods to 300cc's in silicone hp's. I'm having very little pain and am gradually reducing the meds, but oh my goodness the itching is really driving me crazy. Doc says I can add Benedryl to my meds to help me cope with it. I am still totally wrapped and doc does not want to disturb the wrapping until Tues. morning. Of course I've peeked as much as I can, and the excess side boobage appears to be gone and my concerns about going smaller and about hp's being too narrow worked themselves out very well....with my anatomy coming into play, I am filled out quite nicely and proportionately width wise with the redo. I had thought there was going to be more upper fullness with hp's, but the bandages may be covering it. Is that upper fullness that hps help with something that appears gradually after being unwrapped and am I being to impatient to see the results before they're even unwrapped??? How did you gals with hps experience the recovery process from the standpoint of your implant style??? Guess I better order some patience pills from mama miki and think of something to distract me from the itching. Hope you're all headed for a good boobabalicious weekend. Maajida

I am no expert by far...but maybe lack of upper pole is due to smaller implants. Could it be possible when the muscles tighten up it will be there?
I have 350 hp's full unders. Can't remeber did you go under with re-do?
I am sure everything will come together and you will be very pleased with final results. I am anxious to see pics as not many women stay in the smaller cc's...Hope you are doing well.

Hi - Glad you are doing well. I hope the benadryl helps with the itching. By the decrease from the reduction (they say a cupsize) plus another 225ccs gone which would at least be a cupsize you probably will wind up a couple of cup sizes smaller than before I would think. I am predicting the biggest difference you will see is your breasts being smaller by way of being narrower than before, like you wanted, hopefully with more of the volume being in the upper pole instead of the sides, which you also wanted. I have extra hi profile overs as you know so I am not experienced in unders recovery but would guess on a redo for unders when you replace them with smaller implants, the muscles are already stretched out so you would pretty drop into place pretty quickly. I bet you are excited to get those bandages off!!!!

Maajida I a just as anxious as you to see how things turn out as I plan on having the same thing done soon. The only difference is I have HP's now. They are just to wide for my chest. I'm sure you can't wait for the unveiling. Keep us posted.

hugs rose Rose and everyone, thanks so much for replying and staying in touch. Yes, I did go with unders again this time, and everything you said, Rose, certainly makes sense. Even with the bandages still in place it is wonderful to see the more narrow look with the side boobage gone and it makes sense that I would drop into place much more quickly. This is a very different experience from what happened with my initial ba with round mod salines. They were up very high at first, but I lost all the upper fullness in the dropping process. Right now, even though the darn bandages are still in place, I can see that from my throat area and down, there is a gradual sloping down into where the fullness begins. I am very much hoping that when the bandages come off that I will indeed see some of that volume more apparent in the upper area like you said. The Benedryl helped with the itching and I am off all pain meds and I think that helped the itching go away too. Other than how the new girls will look at the unveiling Tuesday, what concerns me also is getting rid of the post op fluid retention. I am up about 7 pounds which is much better than being up 14 pounds right after the initial ba 7 mos. ago. It just feels like there is a big spare tire wrapped around my middle with the fluid retention and all the bandaging, and I am hopeful that with my continued healthy eating and ongoing recovery, my wt. will revert back to what it was pre-op before too long. That will put me at about 7 pounds from the top of my ideal wt. range, which will be a challenge to reach with the upcoming holidays. But I've come this far, with the support and encouragement of everyone here, and no way am I stopping now. Take care, and thanks everyone, for all your kindness. Love, Maaj

Lezza Awww, Lezza, I am so grateful for the warmth of your caring words. I can't wait to post how I am doing after Tuesday's unveiling. I am anxious about the upper fullness, but hopeful that most of my concerns were taken care of. I know you will get all the way to where you want to be too.....there are several of us here at this site that are living proof of the fact that dreams really do come true. Hey girlie, glad to hear you're healing well and everything looks good I would say the lack of upper pole fullness is due to the reduction in size...I'm betting that if you were to compare the projection of your old mods to the projection in your new HPs, they probably are the same since your HPs are so much smaller.
There is a perception that HPs stick out SOOOO much farther than mods but only if you're comparing apples to apples size-wise (i.e. a 300cc HP vs a 300cc mod). My 330cc saline mods had a projection of 4.2 cm...my 500cc HPs have a projection of 5.2cm. It's only a 1-cm difference, though I do have more upper fullness than before, it's not a gigantic difference. I agree with the others in that you will probably go down a couple of cupsizes. I always appreciate your wise perspective....my old saline 475's had a projection of 4.2 and my new hp silicone 300's have a projection of 4.5, which is pretty close, like you said it would be, which is all interesting info to digest. At this point, since I am still all wrapped up, I can only peek down the front of the bandaging, and I do see some fullness that was definitely not there before with the original implants. I think I was concerned about upper fullness because I don't know what is 'normal' for how far down from the collar bone/throat area upper pole fullness usually begins. What I see so far, is a smooth gentle sloping from the throat area down to what looks to be a nice little bit of fullness. My other concerns about the hp's being too narrow (my old mods were nearly 3cm's more narrow than my new hp's are) seem not to be a worry after all....what Too Petite said in a previous post about summing up my situation seems to have been accurate so far...with me needing to go more narrow, get rid of the side boobage, and with my already more than adequate width, the hp's appear to have well and proportionately filled out my build. Of course I will have alot more to say about all of this when I can actually see under the bandaging and see what I am dealing with. I am frightened and excited and very hopeful that my concerns were met well by my surgeon and I am so looking forward to putting this all into a healthy perspective in my life. Thanks so much for your thought provoking reply and I will certainly be in touch after my check-up. I am soooo anxious to see the new girls, get rid of all this itchy bandaging and take a long luxurious shower and put on some fresh new pretty underthings.
