FOR ALL THE LADIES THAT HAVE HAD UNDER THE MUSCLE PLACEMENT, WHO HAD OR HAS HEARD OF THE MUSCLE BEING CUT? DO YOU HAVE THE CHOICE TO HAVE IT CUT OR NOT? I AM HAVING SURGERY ON JAN. 17TH TO HAVE A REVISION WITH A NEW PS. WHEN I LOOK ON HIS WEB SITE, THERE IS LITERATURE SUGGESTING THAT HE WILL BE CUTTING THE MUSCLE FOR UNDER PLACEMENT. THAT SOUNDS VERY FRIGHTENING TO ME. I DON'T WANT TO HAVE MY MUSCLE CUT IF I DON'T HAVE TO. IF I DO HAVE TO HAVE IT DONE THAT WAY THAN I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT. Well to be honest I don't have a lot of info for you....other than that I have under the muscle, they have to cut the muscle to put it under there....but you cant tell , at least I couldn't.

I had submuscular implants in March, 2006. It hurt the first couple of days, but it was very manageable with pain meds. You will be fine Moderator, BA Boards

Hey Mia. The following website explains the different types of placement. I noticed that the complete submuscular's only option to not cut the muscle was through trans axillary placement.
Anyway, hope this helps.

Thats actaully an interesting question. I had mine placed under the muscle but iam going to ask my PS if he cut it or not. But either way, i never really felt pain with my BA and iam 18 years old. I did have back pain because the bandages was too tight but other than that i only took my pain med once then stopped because i started to throw up.
But you will be fine!

you cant get under a muscle unless you cut. I have full unders i went thru the arm pit. I had a lot of pain. More then i have ever had and i can stand pain pretty good. Hey...well maybe its different for everyone, cuz I really didn't have much pain at all....not anyting to really complain about. However, I saw you asked someone about burning, I did experience a little bit burning, but it wasn't like "fire" kinda burning, it was like the "rug-burn" feeling you get on your knees when your little.....but mine only lasted for a couple days and then it was gone, It has something to do with the nerves healing!!!!

I had unders, and at first it just felt really swollen like breast milk coming in but it didn't really hurt, it started hurting a week or two later when things (nerves ) started waking up...BA 6-15-06 390's filled to 420 cc unders, saline, moderate. PreBA 34B, post BA 32DDD/34DD

Oh yes, thanx for reminding me, lol! Itchy, that was probably the most annoying thing, worse than any pain, lol....I had transaxillary incision, and boy did those suckers itch, lol!
