That alone sounds good already. I do hope to hear some stories. I would love to pass them onto my friend. I told her about this site, but she has little time to be on the computer. I just want to do whatever I can to help ease her mind - and I know what a great resource this place is.

Congrats to your friend - although she is likely pretty stunned she will find this is an unexpected blessing! I had one of those when I was 47 and thought I was done too, can't imagine us without him.
The breastfeeding question has more to do with the incision - if it is a crease incision then she will probably be fine, an aerola one could be iffy although I am sure some women are ok with it. I breastfed 5 all for several years with old silicone overs, crease incision, no problems at all. THe tight tummy issue, I couldn't say - a good part is that it will be a little while before she is expanding too much so she will be more healed by then. As far as the drugs and so on, there are usually departments and docs at childrens hospitals who would know how to evaluate all of that - overall I would think things would be ok, good of you to ask for her.

oh, we also have a surprise baby (that's what we have always called her. not an accident or an "oops baby"). We had gone through infertility treatments with our son and was blessed with a little girl a year later (the fun way! tee-hee). It was truly God's will. I had implants and BF just fine. As for the TT...well...her stomach will stretch gradually so I suspect she will do beautifully:)Miki

Again, the personal experience with breastfeeding after implants will be encouraging for her to hear. She is in shock right now. Here she just had surgery and then finds out she's pregnant. Her body is still recovering from the BA and TT. I know as time passes she will be more at peace.

Hi there Im glad you got some good answers for her. I too would have freaked expecially about the tummy and stretching. I cant speak from experience but, The good thing is I know they use super stong stuff to close the incision I suspect she will stretched slowly and do fine. Forgive me, but isn't a pregnancy test given at the surgery center just minutes prior to administering the anesthesia?
I had PG test b/f surgery at the hospital, but not sure how far along you have to be to show in the urine, that is how mine was done?
But you think it would have shown up her being about 4 weeks PG, right?
