"Gummi Bears" Implants

Question
call your PS office and ask for hte specific model number of what he is talking about and the manufacturer..Inamed or Mentor. There is a great deal of confusion about what a lot of different types of silicone implants are called theses days.
Mentor has the LUMERA implants that are undergoing trials presently and these are anatomical and textured. The same thing is what Inamed called their 410 series.
95% of all other implants are what the rest of us have and are thrilled with and are also called cohesive gels.
So..to be sure..call and ask :0)
Then we can share with you people with have had the exact same thing

Answer
Hi: I had the saline implants for about ten years and this past January, I switched to the Inamed cohesive gel. They have been available for awhile here in Canada.
Anyways, and I emphasize that in my opinion, there is absolutely no comparison with which one I like better. The saline I found rippled and did not look nearly as natural as these gummies. These do not feel like an implant at all.
Again, I emphasize that this is only what I found for myself. Some people love saline and some love silicone.

Answer
As I have typed before (many times), silicone gel implants almost always feel better initially. You just have to consider the increased possibility that you might need more surgery for hardening (contracture) as they do tend to harden more over the long term. In women not looking to be too large with adequate soft tissue coverage, I feel the risk of silicone is not warranted.
To date I have switched only one or two women from saline implants (that I placed) to silicone gel implants. I do not place "boulders" though.
My 2 cents,Best Regards,

SantoG,
I have the Inamed Cohesive Gel, which Inamed describe as "Gummy Bear" type. I am not sure if that is the type you are inquiring about or not. As Miki said, call your PS and ask about model # and manufacturer. As for the cost of mine, it was $8200.00 (Canadian). I absolutely love mine

Thanks Guys! Your responses are really helpful. Just one more question:
I like t swim laps -wondering what kind of changes to expect on this one. Do they make you feel weighted down in the water(either salt or pool water)?
