1 Month already!!!! :D

Question
I can't believe that I am already 1 Month post-op. The time just seems to fly by. I'm really very happy with my results, I'm a little disappointed that I didn't go bigger though. I definately think I could have handled a D with my frame. I still have a great deal of dropping and fluffing to do, so my size may change. Hopefully for the better and not for the worst. If I remain a 36C, I'll still be very happy with my results. They turned out beautiful. When it's time for a redo though, I'm definately going for a D (some may call it boob greed lol).
So I posted a pic when I am wearing the most comfortable bra in the world made by Haines. I bought it at Target, my favorite store in the whole wide world haha. Anyway, feel free to check them out, that's what they are there for.

Answer
Hey Nikki,
What type of bra is that by Haines?......
And is it underwire?...
Does Dr. Pousti, whats his position regarding "underwire"?

Answer
The bra I am wearing in the pic is not an underwire. I believe Dr. Pousti says no underwires until 3 months post-op. I understood why when I tried on an underwire bra and I can see where they push my implants into a very odd position. I think it also interferes with the dropping and fluffing that takes place in these first 3 months. You may want to ask him though, just in case he gives different instructions to each patient.
The bra is called Cotton Curves by Haines. It is absolutely wonderful. Way better than the post-op bra I was stuck in and way more comfortable than an underwire bra.

I thought (3) months was right....
I remember one of his nurses telling me that.
Ok....Girlie!
It DOES NOT seem like a month.......
Does it seem like that much time has gone by to you?
And honestly no real pain to speak of during ANY part of your recovery?
What was it like the first time you attempted to say....blow dry your hair.
Or pull a shirt over your head....?
I'm not one to lay around....
I remember when I had my hysterectomy....I almost went out of my mind with the laying around....(Of oourse my body definetly told me when I was doing too much...I just got downright tired)....
Ok....(like my DH says..."slow down Turbo"...)
I mean will I at least be able to walk a block to the beach?
Just to sit by the surf.....
I am getting so psyched...and I am so ready
Although...I know the morning before and the day of......I'm gonna be a nervous reck...That will be one of the only times I will be extremely quite..
shaking in my boots...(or socks )
But I am soooo lookin forward to my turn...

Answer

It really doesn't feel like that much time has gone by. It seems like I was just researching all this stuff and getting confused about everything. I can't believe how easy my recovery has been. It should be a sin, really. My only real pain was the first two days. After that, it was managable, even without the pain meds. I only took them because my back hurt from sleeping upright in the bed. That's a bummer.
The first time I put on a shirt it hurt. More like a burning sensation and my armpits were really sore from not having raised my arms from my side for a few days. I only have slight quick pains every now and then. Nothing to worry about. I could pretty much wash, blowdry, and straighten my hair by day 4. I figured out a way to keep my arms at my side and get all that done, it just took longer than usual.
The lying around all day sucks. You sleep through most of it, or at least I did. I slept the days away, especially when I was in pain. I would take a percocet and I was OUT for a few hours. After you are off the pain meds, I'd say that you'll bef ine to go sit on the beach (make sure you keep those babies out of the sun though). Stay out of the sun while you are taking the Compazine (nausea meds) though. I took it once, went out in the sun to see Dr. Pousti, and when I got home I was sick to my stomach. Otherwise, you should be fine.
Don't worry about being nervous. The ladies at the surgery center are awesome. They make you feel so comfy and relaxed. I'm so excited for you. I can't wait until you're talking about your post-op experiences. Your day is coming!!!

You are always the cheeriest thing - i enjoy just reading your posts because you're so upbeat You're bound to do some more dropping, so even if you don't make the D, you'll probably make a C+ - I guess our grading system is kind of in reverse isn't it!

Thanks so much ladies. It's easy to be upbeat when you love the results I suppose. It's also hard not to love them when you look at my before pics and then look at what I have now lol. I'd take anything over the nothingness I had before . Thanks again for all the comments. I love to read them, does that make me vain? Probably lol.
