Answer
It is one ounce...and a little goes a LONG way! If you want to try the OBagi system, you can buy all of the products on this website except the clear...and you can use this in place of the clear...then you are good to go!BR, Chin/Neck Lipo 6/29/2005; BR revisions and lipo 5/24/2006

Answer
Thanks for the info!!
Do you apply the HQ to your entire face? I have used bleach creams with HQ in them before in certain places and I think it can give an uneven pigmented look, as in the bleach works on some spots more then others. I am wondering with this product given it has a mmh/product/beauty/sunscreen/index.vm?procid=13&catid=304" target=_blank>sunscreen in it - if you can just apply it to the entire area? I have usually just applied to spots in past.
I use self tanner on my face too - and notice it darkens my spots which have been lightened significantly from a laser. But I refuse to be pale in the Summer (I know bad) - so I guess I can't have it both ways!

Answer
I am following Obagi, so I do put it all over my face. Then they say you can put it on any particularly dark spots (a second 'coat') after the first one settles in (about 2 minutes later). On that site, they have different brands, some with mmh/product/beauty/sunscreen/index.vm?procid=13&catid=304" target=_blank>sunscreen and some without. I think the sunscreen is only spf15, so you probably need to add a higher spf sunscreen anyway. (It was the same price with or without the sunscreen, so I figured what the heck!) As you can see by my pic, I like the way I look much more with color! But I've given that up since last year. I'm not sure how self tanner affects the hydroquinone or vice versa...I'll try to find out, though.BR, Chin/Neck Lipo 6/29/2005; BR revisions and lipo 5/24/2006

Answer
Hi ya -
Thanks - by the way you look great, your pic is small so I am not sure if you have color or not - but lighter skin is healthier! I only use a small amount of the Jergens Natural Glow - I am fair, (but tan rather easily) - so I just need a small amount for a subtle glow. It works great on my upper body (harms, chest).
I ordered the one with the sunscreen - I figured it is better because it blocks both kinds of rays - has the parsols in it. The only reason why I hesitated is because I don't like to wear sunscreen at night - but I wasn't going to order one of each. Great price - thanks again!

Answer
Beth i know what you mean on color but as of 2 yrs ago i do not sun bath or use tanning beds or self tanners[on my face]i get the same look with a face bronzer.I am getting better but still have a few brown spots on my face and if i use a tanner the spots get darker and really stick out.I live in the midwest and would love to get alittle color now that the weather has gotten nice but i look at other gals my age[54 yikes]that do tan and i gasp at the wrinkles so i will take the time for the bronzer and hanging out in the bathroom nude until i dry from sunless lotion...oh godness annemarie

Answer
Beeguy,
Are there any self tanners that don't rub off on your clothes?
Thanks,

Caroline i have a friend who has tryed all of them and she told me the best she found was L'oreal sublime bronze spray streak free so i tryed it a few months ago had a party and needed alittle color...OK here's the scoop...take your time putting on ...spray and then gently rub all over ...very little on feet/top of hands/knees...besure to wash inside of hands and avoid top of hands[or you are tan and hands look like you have white gloves on] Try to find something to do and let your body dry i cleaned out bathroom draws for 25 minutes before i dressed [thank goodness no-one home]Also avoid white sheets/towels/white under wear and do not rub with towel gently pat...also best to put on after bath or shower on damp skin.It didn't streak on me[but like i said i took my time & let dry before getting dressed.I have not seen it rub off on clothes or sheets/towels...She said to only use ONCE a week and she does put some on her face i don't i use the bronzer make-up and the color i got for the self tan was light, comes lt... med... or dk so for me without make-up only i know that my face is alittle lighter.I will have to cool it after next week on the self tanner as i am getting injections on my legs for mmh/product/spider_vein/index.vm?procid=29" target=_blank>spider veins...and can't use it.Guess i'll drag the turtle necks out again...Hope this helps boy i got windy....annemarie

Answer
I can get 4% hydroquinone on prescription - from my dermatologist. The co-pay is $35.00
Has anyone tried this route, it seems far cheaper!

Answer
If I had this option then I would however I live in Sweden and Hydroquinone is not allowed to be sold here in ANY percent. Luckily a friend of mine went home to see her family in Chile, South America where it is legal to sell (and most likely without a prescription) and she bought me some tubes of Eldoquin Forte 4%. It is the same as the kind sold in the US and is made by ICN in California. It cost just under $6 a tube in Chile.
I should also add that many people in the US do not have insurance so a co pay would not be possible. When I lived there I was self employed and had insurance but it was expensive since it wasn't through a company. Additionally some insurance companies do not cover Hydroquinone and related items because it is considered cosmetic. My insurance company Kaiser did cover it but back then I didn't need it. Now when I do need it, it isn't available in my country.

Thanks Sabeine! I didn't realize you were elsewhere - forgot I'm talking to the world on here
I have only been in the US since 04 so am still learning about it

It's only 25 dollars if you order it from Canada! Check the grams though..if it is the 56.8 gram size, then the copay would be less expensive.BR, Chin/Neck Lipo 6/29/2005; BR revisions and lipo 5/24/2006
