Hi LookinUp,
What peel did you use? I just did a 2 lmmh/product/beauty/ayer/index.vm?procid=13&catid=642" target=_blank>ayer 18% mmh/product/chemicalpeel/home_peels/tca/index.vm?procid=4&catid=1045&subcatid=1047" target=_blank>TCA and am waiting to peel. I am also waiting for my mmh/product/chemicalpeel/home_peels/jessners/index.vm?procid=4&catid=1045&subcatid=1048" target=_blank>Jessner's peel to arrive in the mail.
I had uneven frosting so I don't really know what that means as far as an uneven result. My skin is already tighr so I hope I peel soon. I hate this stretchy dried up look!
Tell me how it goes; I like keeping up with what other people are using!
Brooke

HI planeart! It was the Jessner's. Have never tried a mmh/product/chemicalpeel/home_peels/tca/index.vm?procid=4&catid=1045&subcatid=1047" target=_blank>TCA...did glycolic mmh/product/chemicalpeel/index.vm?procid=4" target=_blank>peels (up to 60%) in the past with no problems at all, but the past two glycolics I did caused burning/scabbing spots (almost looked like I had bad mmh/product/beauty/acne/index.vm?procid=13&catid=205" target=_blank>acne--and my face felt like sandpaper in places--microdermabraded them off after a couple of days and was fine)--possibly because I use RetinA regularly, and didn't in the past...not sure why. Definitely let us know what happened with the TCA...AdeleBR, Chin/Neck Lipo 6/29/2005; BR revisions and lipo 5/24/2006

Beeguy,
Hate to "but in" BUT I just purchased the A-peel correct from Julie on eBay. I know Lekat uses it quite a bit. I don't think it is as aggresive as they mmh/product/chemicalpeel/home_peels/tca/index.vm?procid=4&catid=1045&subcatid=1047" target=_blank>TCA. I should get it today. I am looking forward to trying it out. I am also terrified of the peels. I have rather olive mmh/product/beauty/index.vm?procid=13" target=_blank>mmh/product/beauty/index.vm?procid=13" target=_blank>mmh/product/beauty/index.vm?procid=13" target=_blank>mmh/product/beauty/index.vm?procid=13" target=_blank>mmh/product/beauty/index.vm?procid=13" target=_blank>mmh/product/beauty/index.vm?procid=13" target=_blank>skin. You could check out her web site on ebay for info on this peel.

You can butt in any time! That's what these boards are for! The Jessner's doesn't come in a percent...it is standard, I think. Today I look like I was hit by a car (did 4 lmmh/product/beauty/ayer/index.vm?procid=13&catid=642" target=_blank>ayers when 2 didn't work)....well, not that bad...as the day wore on, I got leathery with some red spots(and kind of purplish around the 'crow's feet' area)....starting to mmh/product/chemicalpeel/index.vm?procid=4" target=_blank>peel around my mmh/product/rhinoplasty/index.vm?procid=10" target=_blank>mmh/product/rhinoplasty/index.vm?procid=10" target=_blank>nose so far....I did wear mmh/product/makeup/index.vm?procid=54" target=_blank>makeup to work today, but washed it off as soon as I got home...the instructions with the peel said to use mmh/product/beauty/index.vm?procid=13" target=_blank>mmh/product/beauty/index.vm?procid=13" target=_blank>moisturizer until you start peeling, then if you can, let it peel by itself without any products on it, as it would peel more thoroughly and faster. I heard this was much milder than a mmh/product/chemicalpeel/home_peels/tca/index.vm?procid=4&catid=1045&subcatid=1047" target=_blank>TCA peel, and since I had developed a sensitivity to the mmh/product/chemicalpeel/home_peels/glycolic/index.vm?procid=4&catid=1045&subcatid=1046" target=_blank>Glycolic Acid peel, thought I'd give it a try. Lekat definitely is the one to trust with the peel information! She taught me everything I know! Just went back and realized I missed some of your questions...with the Jessner's, you do one swipe (layer) wait 5 minutes, and do the next one. So for 2 layers, 10 minutes on your face, 3 layers, 15, etc. Stopped RetinA a week in advance (because I wanted to get a good mmh/product/eyelidsurgery/index.vm?procid=6" target=_blank>eyebrow wax)--now I read that if you wax your eyebrows, the pulling will eventually effect collagen production, and you can get saggy eyes. Figures! I don't have it in front of me, but I think this peel can be done 4-6 times per year...don't quote me on that, though! I think you should see some results the first time, but my guess is it would take a series to see deeper results, unless you do a deeper peel...my guess (considering how I look right now) is that what I did would be considered 'medium'. (Like I said before, the 2 layer did nothing...slightly pink in the cheek and nose area right afterwards, and my mmh/product/beauty/index.vm?procid=13" target=_blank>mmh/product/beauty/index.vm?procid=13" target=_blank>skin was very smoothe, put no peeling at all, and the next day, it didn't even look like I had done anything--not so with the 4 layer!)BR, Chin/Neck Lipo 6/29/2005; BR revisions and lipo 5/24/2006

Answer
All the peels unless very strong are layer dependent. The more you layer the more you peel or combo of peels. The next day if you feel tight and leathery, the following day you should have some brown discolorizations on the face. The mouth and chin peel first then the cheeks and nose and if your lucky the forehead. Foreheads are very difficult to peel, its rare or a strong peel. Your better off to start light like lookinup and proceed from there. If your not careful or no what to look for you can hyperpigment. The darker your skin the more careful you need to be!!!! The darker the skin much greater chances of hyperpigmentation. Also if you had melasma with pregnancy or have large dark areas then you are more likely to hyperpigment. When peeling don't ever pull the skin, wash your face with a soft cloth and a gentle soap (baby soap is good) but never pull the skin. If you did a severe peel and skin is supersensitive use olive oil on it. No preservatives, no fragrances and Cleopatra used it for ever. It won't burn the sensitive skin whereas all lotions have fragrance.... Good luck and happy peeling!!!!

Answer
lookinup,
have you tried BioPeelMD? I've heard great things about it and am wondering what you think of it.
Thanks!
BioPeelMD - Multi-Enzyme Smoothing Peel
Ingredients: Pumpkin pulp extract, purified water, sunflower oil, corn meal, corn starch, C12-C15 alkyl benzoates, glycerine, glycolic acid, bromelain enzyme, papain enzyme, asafetida extract, phytohyluronate, phytocollagen, willow bark extract, calendula extract, green tea extract, lavender extract, allantoin, pantheonol, carrot tissue extract, vitamin E acetate, liquapar optima, essential oils of orange and frankincense.

Answer
I never tried the BioPeel, but have tried a product with similar ingredients...it's not really a 'peel' (as your skin is quite moisturized and smooth from the pumpkin enzymes, etc--not dry and flaky/peeling)...I had good luck with the pumpkin and papaya masks I've used in the past--they definitely make your skin 'slippery soft' and smooth....they just work differently than chemical peels (strong glycolic, TCA, Jessner's, etc.)BR, Chin/Neck Lipo 6/29/2005; BR revisions and lipo 5/24/2006
