Question
Hi everyone,
I'm not a member of a team but frequent this forum for all the wonderful suggestions and articles you share. So I guess I've been more of a "taker" than a "giver." You are all so wonderfully supportive of each other. I was afraid to join a team in case I failed at losing weight and would bring a team down. That's why I've kinda stayed on the sidelines.
At any rate - I was hoping to share a new milestone with you as I know you will understand just how much it means to me. For the first time in over 30 years I weigh under 160 pounds. When I stepped on the scale this morning and it read 159 I almost cried. I've been struggling especially since my last surgery to get rid of the final 15. I have another consult coming up in about a week and wanted more pounds off - which is just making more AL, BL, TT Board Moderator

1962Barbie, CONGRATULATIONS!!! I know what a psychological boost that little number on the scale --if it says the right thing--can do! I, myself, am not quite sure what the "team" concept is all about at the moment, but it doesn't matter...we all seem to be here for each other, regardless of our ups and downs, so I'm glad you've popped in and shared. This board has kinda replaced my addiction to the TT board, I'm trying to use it to keep my hands/mind occupied when I'd rather be munching on something. Please post often! Barbie.. a big congrats on the milestone. That is so awesome. I so remember that feeling of getting below that almighty # figure. I often asked my mom if I weighed 100# at birth because I always was over weight, big boned and felt like I was given an unjust look all my life. Esp. when my 2 sisters are the smallest things around ( that just right look) ha ha. . So you just celebrate on how you feel and love it you so deserve it. I feel like losing weight is harder than having a baby at times.
And as far as the teams go we are all just one big team over here, in the beginning we started them to own bragging rights for the weeks biggest weight lose, and just kept it going. But I cheer each other on is what we are all about SUPPORT with LOVE and lots of YOU GO GIRL. Cathie BL 8/28/05
