Anyone know of a product that will help feel a scar

Question
I took a bad fall and scratched up my face and its all faded except for front and center under my nose. I was putting bacitracin and micro retina. Any recommendations?

Answer
I think copper peptide serum really help scars, at least for me.
I used a whole tube of mederma on a scar on my upper arm, to no effect. But Neutrogena Copper Serum really is making it look smaller, smoother and flatter in no time. I just dab a bit on every night before bed.
Also, make sure you are using sunscreen on your face and that scar every day. Daily exposure to sun damaging rays will not do it any favors, IMO.
The new LRP Anethlios SX spf 15 at CVS is awesome, though pricey ($29). I just use it on my face, neck and hands and use something else on the rest of me that's cheaper to make it last longer. It's completely photostable and blocks both UVA and UVB rays for good protection. I've been using it for a while and my freckles are fading beautifully.

I'm a big fan of copper peptides too. Read about scar therapy at mmh/product/beauty/index.vm?procid=13" target=_blank>skinbio.com
It works with exfoliation. Use copper peptides and retin-a (or an oil based retinol product) following a mild exfolication. Retin-a thin skin and builds collagen. Copper peptides actually seem to slow healing but reduces keliods. I've been using shaving on a keliod scar that I don't like, followed by copper peptides (read the shavin-mavins thread on the facelift forum, gillette actually makes a vibrance razor for exfoliation). I did did an 8% mmh/product/chemicalpeel/home_peels/tca/index.vm?procid=4&catid=1045&subcatid=1047" target=_blank>tca mmh/product/chemicalpeel/index.vm?procid=4" target=_blank>peel. Usually it takes time but the results are good.
Suncreen is important, look at the ingredients. Zinc based creams suppress copper peptides, so, if you use zinc during the day use the copper peptides at night.

What is V-beam? Someone on this site, I think, also mentioned that raw shea butter helped with scars. Has anyone had success with that?

OliveGage -- I am using Retin A on my face, but would like to use it on a bleph scar under my eye. I wonder if it would be safe to put a little just on the scar with a q-tip? I'm afraid to put much there as the skin is so delicate but if I could just get it on the scar, what do you think?

Answer
Zumbles,
V-beam is a non-invasive laser, that when used by a MD can help with red elevated scars. I had several treatments for redness with a tech, which minimized the redness but a scar left from a cyst only became less red . I still have the indentation. I always wonder if a MD had done the treament my outcome would have been better. I am sure the tech cannot go as deep as a MD.

Answer
I've got a little bleph mmh/product/scar_reduction/index.vm?procid=42" target=_blank>scar on one eye too. I'll have to experiment. You can put the 8% mmh/product/chemicalpeel/home_peels/tca/index.vm?procid=4&catid=1045&subcatid=1047" target=_blank>tca under your eye but, you can't ever go right up to the lash. It's just tooo dangerous. Both retin-A and cooper peptides can go under the eye but, they make my eyes red and dry. Ususally scar removal require repeated exfoliation and healing. You might as a derm or directory/index.php" target=_blank>plastic surgeon to look at it and see if there's a milder technique like dermaplaning or sanding that would remove the scar.
