Question
How is everyone doing??? There was a terrible storm and a dam broke and 7 tourist lost their lives. We got in at the tail end of it. I couldn't believe it. The sewage was backed up and what used to be the beautiful coast line that I was used too was brown! We didn't go snorkeling! By the last part of our trip it was back to blue again. I was still leary and stayed out of the water. I heard some guy was drunk on a boat and fell into the water and lost his leg because infection set in. We stayed in Oahu for a day and then flew into Kauii for 8 days and then flew back into Oahu for what ended up 2 days because our flight was cancelled. We went kayaking, hiking, shopping, and a lot of boating around the island. It's beautiful. That was a first time there for me and I can't wait to return with all my family. I ate nonstop. So, I put on 4 of the 5 I lost that week. I'm ready to get back on track. I'm back at Jazz tonight in fact. My eating hasn't been the best today but I'll get that straightened out. I missed this group!

Glad you enjoyed your trip. Like I mentioned in my post, I am jealous! lol I have gotten to go to Oahu twice. Once in 2001 when my parents were there on there boat my daughter & I flew out for a week & stayed on the boat with them. Then hubby & I honeymooned there for a week in 2003. Someday I hope I get a chance to explore other islands.
