Pounds by the week

Question
Hey everyone, Im 5'3 and 155lbs. Im working out everyday and watching what I eat very carefully. I want to lose 20lbs in 2 months. Do you think this is possible. Also, on average how much weight do people lose a week? To reach my goal I would have to lose 3lbs a week... how impossible is my goal?

Answer
You really shouldn't lose more than 2 pounds a week. But, the first week you can lose more due to water weight.

Answer
Twenty pounds in 2 months may not be exactly impossible, but it certainly is highly improbable and will most likely cause a rebound effect that will be truly frightening. To achieve it would require dangerous starvation level dieting.

Ten pounds in 2 months is more reasonable...but even that is not easy.

Answer
Losing one to two pounds a week is considered a healthy weight loss.

Answer
I dont think its impossible at all, and over one more pound i dont think you'll be starving yourself. The special K challenge is supposed to help you lose 6lbs in 2 weeks if you eat a bowl of it as a substitute for 2 meals a day along with the other meal, so I dont believe that would really be starving yourself, si I have hope for ya!!! Good Luck!
